BBC Kids & Family use of User Generated Content: Terms and Conditions

Hello, at BBC Kids & Family we love to share all the exciting pictures from our fans around the world with our followers. We have seen your image/video (defined as “your contribution” in the terms below) and we would love to feature it on BBC Kids & Family’s digital channels, this may include our website and social channels (including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or Twitter) and in our digital communications (e.g. digital newsletters).  If you are happy for us to do so please review the terms and conditions here and provided you agree to them please give us a yes by replying yes.

Terms

    1. You agree that you are aged 18 or over and are the parent or legal guardian of (i) any children included in your contribution, or (ii) any children who created artwork or any other content which is featured in your contribution.
    2. By agreeing to these terms you agree that your contribution may be featured on our website, on our digital channels (including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or Twitter), and/or in our digital communications (e.g. digital newsletters). You grant to BBC Studios free of charge, permission to use your contribution in any way we want (including modifying and adapting it for operational and editorial reasons as well as using it either alone or in conjunction with other content) in any media worldwide for BBC Studios’ use in perpetuity (forever). We may give you a credit for the use of your contribution but for operational reasons this is not always possible. You understand and agree that you won’t be paid for your contribution.
    3. In order that BBC Studios can use your submission, you confirm that your contribution is your own original work, is not defamatory and does not infringe any copyright or laws, that you have the right to give BBC Studios permission to use it for the purposes specified above, and that you have the consent of anyone who is identifiable in your contribution (or the consent of their parent / guardian if they are under 18) to you submitting the content of them to us and to the best of your knowledge has not been edited or manipulated in any way to distort the truth.
    4. We do not guarantee that we will use your submission.

    6. Privacy Statement: BBC Studios Distribution Limited is responsible for handling personal data you provide, including your contribution, in accordance with data protection law. We have a legitimate interest in using your contribution and associated personal data, such as your name and location to promote our brands and engage our consumers and audiences. We intend to keep your contribution in perpetuity. If your contribution is not used, we will delete your personal data after publication of this promotion. We will ask you to provide us with the contact details of the parent/guardian of anyone under 18 that appears in your contribution (including you). This will enable us to verify with the relevant parent/guardian that they consent to their child’s personal data being given to us. We will use their contact details for this purpose only.
