Countryfile Live at Windsor Great Park cancelled amid Covid-19
SME London has announced that Countryfile Live at Windsor Great Park has been cancelled owing to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. The event was due to take place from 20 and 23 August 2020.
Organisers have been closely following the government guidance surrounding Covid-19, with ongoing restrictions and uncertainty confirming the need to cancel the event.
All ticket holders will be automatically refunded by 1st July 2020. This includes any parking tickets, but does not include booking fees or any travel and accommodation costs.
Tim Etchells, Managing Director, SME London, said: “It is with a heavy heart that we have taken the decision to cancel Countryfile Live at Windsor Great Park. While we had hoped that the situation would improve by August, it has become increasingly apparent that we will not be able to host the event while maintaining social distancing measures. We realise this is disappointing for fans, and will be announcing plans for 2021 in due course.”
Paul Sedgwick, Deputy Ranger of Windsor Great Park, said: “All of us at Windsor Great Park, along with many others, are very disappointed that Countryfile Live cannot take place here this year. However, we fully understand and completely support this decision, as the safety of visitors, exhibitors and all involved with the event has to be everybody’s priority at this very difficult time.”
